In founding Les Dissonances Ensemble, David Grimal wanted to create a collective of musicians bringing together professionals from the major European ensembles, as well as young talents. "No conductor, but artists who decide to work together": that is the slogan that unites them together in a repertoire that is open to all the aesthetics.The adventure began in the winter of 2003, during a first concert for the homeless in the church of Saint-Leu, in Paris. Since then, Les Dissonances are trying to reinvent the notion of the ensemble, like a great string quartet where everyone is both independent yet related to the other.
